Bloemfontein Celtic have agreed to sign Zimbabwean left-back Ronald Pfumbidzai to bolster their defence.
The defender, who previously had a trial at Kaizer Chiefs but failed to make the grade, was assessed by Celtic during the club’s pre-season training.
Pfumbidzai’s representative, Michael Ngobeni from M Sport Management, confirmed that the 22-year-old will turn out in the green and white colours of Celtic in the 2017-18 season.
“The boy is a Celtic player. Everything has been agreed. He is due to land in the country anytime from now,” Ngobeni said.
Following his trial with the Glamour Boys in 2015, the left-back was signed by Denmark’s Hobro IK after he was not offered a contract at Naturena.
He later enjoyed a stint with Zimbabwe’s Caps United, before the Siwelele deal came to fruition.
Siwelele, as the team is affectionately called, is now coached by Veselin Jelusic.
